How It Works:
Viewers are seated inside a dome featuring a spherical screen of 200 square meters. Initially, the plan was to create a mobile platform, but due to the significant strain on the vestibular system caused by the spherical screen, we opted for comfortable chairs instead. Thanks to the immersive "being there" effect created by 360-degree graphics, ambient sound, and stunning real-life footage captured by one of the world's best quadcopters, viewers will feel as though they are truly soaring above the city. They will experience the boundless beauty of St. Petersburg and even thrilling steep turns that will challenge their vestibular system!
"Flying Above St. Petersburg" is more than just entertainment—it is set to become a must-see attraction in the Northern capital. In just seven minutes, the audience will discover the diversity of the city's most famous architectural ensembles and witness its key cultural heritage sites. The video will be projected onto the spherical screen and enhanced by a range of impressive special effects. Inside the 10-meter dome, 40 comfortable seats will ensure that every viewer enjoys the adventure in total comfort.
While similar projects have been successfully launched at Disneyland in California, in theme parks across the United States, Canada, China's largest cities, Abu Dhabi, and Moscow, the St. Petersburg project is truly unique. It has no direct analogues in the world, thanks to its distinctive features.
With stunning three-dimensional image quality, dynamic visuals, and powerful sound, this attraction offers a fresh perspective on St. Petersburg's key architectural and cultural landmarks. Additionally, it will function as an interactive educational program, making it both entertaining and enlightening.
